What is intermittent fasting?
The fasting diet sounds threatening, but it is simply dividing a day or several days into 2 stages:
Fasting period: you do not eat for a period of time ranging from 12 to 48 hours ·
Eating window: You eat all your calories within a period of 8 to 24 hours.
These periods replace each other without a pause, that is, they follow one another immediately.
Fasting period - you can't get any calories. Only coffee (without sugar/cream), tea, water are allowed. It is advisable to drink more water, but not by force. Any amount of calories, even a tiny one, will ruin the whole point of the diet, since the body will get energy and stop adapting to temporary hunger. Therefore, do not violate this rule under any circumstances. The fasting period is called so for a reason.
Eating window – here you should eat your calorie norm. It doesn’t matter, deficit for weight loss, surplus for muscle mass gain or weight maintenance. In what format there are calories – it doesn’t matter. Someone has one big meal in the middle of the eating window, and someone eats 4-5 times medium meals during the eating window.
