Bardya Ziaian is an accomplished entrepreneur and financial asset manager with a strong track record of founding successful companies.
He attended York University, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Mathematics. After graduation, he joined Belzberg Technologies Inc. as a Project Manager and Senior Software Engineer, where he was responsible for hiring programmers, designing trading engines, and developing US self-clearing systems for equities.
Later, as Managing Director at Royal Capital Management Inc., bardya managed assets utilizing multiple arbitrage strategies. In 2008, he founded BBS Securities, which included the discount brokerage Virtual Brokers. Under his leadership, Virtual Brokers transformed the Canadian commission landscape, achieving near-zero commissions and earning accolades as the #1 discount broker and top innovator from The Globe and Mail.
During his tenure at BBS/VB, Bardya was an influential figure in the regulatory arena, serving as an elected member of IIROC’s Ontario District for two years and as a Director at Neo Exchange in 2015, where he helped shape the company's long-term vision.
In 2015, he founded Pario Technologies Corp., where he developed trading and clearing systems for Canadian and US equities and options. He sold the business to CI Financial in 2017, one of Canada’s leading independent financial firms.
Currently, bardya serves as the President and CEO of SITTU Group Inc., consulting with companies, designing systems, and investing in early-stage businesses. His think tank aims to create opportunities aligned with current economic macro environments.
Bardya is recognized as a job creator, strategic director, and passionate entrepreneur, with deep expertise in fintech, brokerage services, and financial systems. In addition to his leadership role, he is also a producer and writer for the feature film "Super Dicks," a thriller comedy.
