Voronezh State Medical University is a government-funded university in Russia, managed by the Russian Ministry of Health. It is one of the country’s top medical universities, with over 8,000 students currently enrolled. The university is a part of the Imperial University of Dorpat which was established in 1802 and it was moved to Voronezh in 1918. The medical faculty became an independent institute in 1930.
